Just signup…show up…and your all set, we'll do the rest.

On average, we have 30 to 50 players turn out for our organized doubles match play. Partners, opponents, and courts are all provided. Average player skill level is between 2.5 and 4.0. We do our best to match skill levels so that play is competitive and fun.

Dan Frey, a new member and new resident of New Bern said, "This organized doubles format provides great tennis, and is the best system I have seen. This includes playing USTA League Tennis as well as at several tennis clubs in Milwaukee, Racine, Savannah, Apalachicola, Tampa, and St. Petersburg over the past 10-15 years."

Another member, Ken Ralph, said, "I used to enjoy playing USTA League Tennis and now our club tennis is just as good, I don't have to travel all over Eastern North Carolina to get a good tennis match."

Member Kathy Rioux added, "Our women's doubles group allows me to come out and play great competitive tennis without having to reserve a court or call and round up 3 other ladies. This is an outstanding system for great ladies' doubles. I had never played club tennis before I joined Harbour Town Racquet Club in 2014, and was basically a beginner. The ladies have encouraged me and I am learning new skills and improving my tennis game! I absolutely love it!"

(All club members are eligible, welcome, and invited to play in any of our tennis groups.)

Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday Social Tennis Doubles - 9:00 a.m.

Less competitive than our organized Monday, Wednesday and Friday tennis. No need to sign up - just show up and our club pro, Mike See, will arrange matches. Play may consist of doubles or mixed doubles depending on the mix. This is a great time for guests or beginning tennis players to come out and meet our club pro and some of our members.

Thursday Evening Open Play - 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Open play mixed doubles organized by one of our members.

Sunday Afternoons October through April, 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Drop-In mixed doubles or singles, depending upon preference and number of players. Play may consist of a round-robin where partners switch around every four games.

Note: Members may organize a group or use the courts at their leisure as long as it does not conflict with an ongoing program. Check with our club pro for court availability.

We arrange and play weekly matches with regional tennis clubs during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons of the year.

Please contact our Club Pro for more information.

Please contact us if you are a member of another club and wish to arrange a friendly match!

The winter weather will affect whether the courts are playable or not.

If the temperature drops below 32°, the chances are good that the courts need time to thaw out and dry; if 40° and above, most players will want to play.

Current group times are 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Court conditions will be on the answering system at least one hour prior to court times.

Also check your email for a court report when conditions are questionable.
